With the start of classes in August, it was also the start of the Credens Justitiam campaign within the tabletop club at my college. As some of you would know, my friend and I have been trying to find a way to add a Madoka Magica feel into already-made rulebook systems, but our first attempt was basically a failure. However, over the summer, my tabletop club president placed it upon himself to make his own Puella Magi Madoka Magica rulebook.

With my finals just a day away, I’ve been busy studying instead of catching up with the current Spring Season anime. However, I have been playing as Kyubey occasionally in this Incubator Game.

After starting this vector nearly a year ago, I finally vectored the finishing touches to this image. Below are non-background, black background, and white background (1280×800) jpeg versions of a vector of Gauche Suede from Tegami Bachi based off of one of the manga images that I did on Photoshop.

Na na~ na na na na na na na~ Katamari Damacy~!

I know this is non-anime related, but after being introduced to this, I felt like I needed to share it with the world. Recently, a programmer made this hack that allows you to roll up items on your browser! Now, you can roll a Katamari around your browser and watch everything attach to it as your Katamari grows. You’re also allowed to decide whether or not you want background music while you roll everything up. All you need to do is copy and paste the javascript and paste it onto the URL browser. It’s pretty straight forward from there. Happy Rolling~!

He’s peering into your soul so you can contract with him in a tabletop game as well!

Normally, on Friday nights, I would be hanging out with my friends in the tabletop club since we have games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. However, since this weekend is Zenkaikon and majority of the club is a part of the anime club, those who had membership passes ended up going (I am not with them because they have group weekend passes while I will only be going on Saturday). So, with the left over tabletop club members that either aren’t into anime or are too poor to go to a convention, we decided to make and start up a Puella Madoka Magi tabletop game – based on the Dresden Files rulebooks – with some adjustments here and there.

The Goal Scoring Shot: Is it the camera angle?

Currently, Aniki (chigaimasu) and I are keeping up with Giant Killing as our “sports type” anime for the season. When we watched episode 4, we noticed 2 things that were peculiar. At first, we blew it off as a camera angle fault so we could finish the episode. But when we went back to check, it didn’t look like a camera angle fault at all. So, today, I’ll bring up these 2 problems out into the open as well as our conclusions. Note: This post will be similar to Aniki’s old X’s and O’s post. (Read More)

Isn’t Ciel so cute in his Santa’s hat? Actually, he’s just cute cause he’s pouting.

When you read this, I’ll already be in Canada with my cousins (one of them being the host of the podcast, Anime Roundtable). Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all get plenty of presents even though you probably had to use up your money getting presents for relatives (like me)!

And for comedy sake~

Props to my Vice President for drawing this. Thankies for letting me use the picture~!

Potato_from_Air_TVPiko Piko!!! I want to be the best Anime Animal!

With a little “puhi puhi”, nya nya”, “arf arf”, or even a “piko piko”, an anime becomes enjoyable. When you dislike the characters, the animals are always there to bring your spirits back up. Now then, who’s the best Anime Animal?

Where generic-brand moe may just be as good as the brand name…

Selection is important in some areas and not as important in others (like above). Can you get value with generic-brand moe or is moe something too refined to go for less?

whitehatazn-48.jpgOf the shows I’m watching this season, I started picking up the first few episodes of Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka. Even though it has quite the who’s-who of a seiyuu cast for a harem show, the show itself is not¬†particularly¬†impressive. Outside of Rie Kugimiya’s character being really annoying for a tsundere character, the other thing I’ll note is that I’m starting to really like Aya Hirano’s character, Minato. Part of it is because I tend to like a character which fits the motherly/housewife harem archetype. Part of it is the conclusion that came to me in the first episode: “Wait… She looks like a Nanoha knockoff.”
